Someone finished a job? Cheer it. Cheers are a quick, cheerful well done: they never add hearts and never change the card.
Cheer a job
- Find a ticked task or a done card (on the board, in the card, or in the Kitty Jar history).
- Tap Cheer and pick Clap, Party, Star, Strong or High five.
- Changed your mind? Pick a different one. Tap yours again to take it back.
Each job shows its cheers with a count. Press and hold (or open the picker) to see who cheered.
Who can cheer
- Anyone who can see the board, even if they can only look: your partner, a friend you share with, a grown-up who Can see your child, and children too.
- Only finished jobs can be cheered. Untick a job and its cheers are hidden; tick it again and they come back.
- A repeating job can be cheered afresh each day, week or month. When it resets, last time's cheers stop showing until someone cheers the new one. (See Jobs that repeat.)
Being cheered
- Whoever finished the job gets a notification (several cheers come together in one, so it's never spammy).
- Next time they open Kitty Board (or straight away, if it's open), a shower of claps and stars falls across the screen, with a banner saying who cheered.
- Children get the full shower, and their finished jobs with cheers show under Cheers for you on their home.
Turn the shower down
Grown-ups get a lighter shower. Prefer just the banner? Open Settings, tap Cheer animations and switch it off. If your phone is set to reduce motion, you only get the banner anyway.
Cheers are in the phone apps and on app.kittyboard.app. Each device celebrates a cheer once, so a new phone won’t replay old ones.
